Swimming Against the Media Tide on 06/06/06
The MSM are crammed to the gills with stories centered around the juxtaposition of numbers that they claim are significant with respect to the biblical book of Revelation chapter 13 verse 18.
(N.B. This is probably one of the few occasions where the MSM would be willing to acknowledge the existence of the Bible, by the way).
However, I would point out that this date on the calendar has nothing to do with “the number of the beast.” There is no six hundred of anything, and certainly no threescore. Rather, it’s the sixth day of the sixth month of the year 2006. But hey, let not our ignorance get in the way of a sensationalist news story. Gotta fill up all that airtime, you know.
Lost in the shuffle, unfortunately, is the undisputed fact that this is the sixty-firstsecond anniversary of the D-Day invasion that marked the beginning of the end of the Third Reich.

Let us always remember, lest we forget, and future generations have to pay the price yet again.
