Whither The Fool?

We often hear - OFTEN - about the “right wing thugs” who threaten the brave and resolute Leftists who have the temerity to speak truth to power and all that stuff. More often than, not it seems, such claims turn out to be hoaxes perpetrated by the Lefties themselves in their continuing campaign of disinformation learned from Papa Lenin. Examples are here, here and here, among just a few.

However, there are more often credible examples of threats of bodily injury perpetrated by the Left - again, in accordance with their established beliefs and their mode of operation. Patterico’s Pontifications records just one among many, wherein a blogger, Jeff Goldstein, has been threatened with injury to himself and to his toddler-aged son.

If this were an Eric Rudolph, someone who could be credibly connected with “right-wing” sympathies, of course, you’d have heard about this on the evening news, but no, it’s just another left-wing academic and her zany shenanigans. We may hear about how the president of her university is “deeply troubled,” but don’t bet on the fact that anything more will come of this.
