Busy Little Buggers, Aren’t We?

Came across this article at New Economist while searching for some ammunition to use against yet another boring anti-American who’d rather believe the conventional “wisdom” of the Left than actually think for himself. This guy was posting to Slashdot regarding the “well-known fact” that in the U.S., we work all the time but don’t have the same level of productivity of “many other (unnamed) countries.”

Of course, the reality is the U.S. outstrips all other nations in productivity. I attribute this mostly to a continuing strong work-ethic - in stark contrast to France, Germany and most of the rest of the E.U. who believe “work” is that stuff you do to fill in the time between holidays.
